Civil Engineer – Structural Designer
Design, analysis and BIM modelling of structures for residential buildings and demanding contemporary architecture.
About the role
ORIRI – Engineering & Project Coordination is looking to strengthen its team with a Civil Engineer – Structural Designer, experienced in the design and development of structural projects.
We are looking for a professional with technical autonomy, rigour and the ability to follow a project from the definition of the structural solution through to the execution design and its BIM modelling.
The role focuses particularly on residential buildings, contemporary architectural houses and other technically demanding projects, working in close coordination with architecture and the other disciplines.
Key responsibilities
- Conception and definition of structural solutions
- Modelling, analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures
- Design of foundations and retaining elements
- Seismic analysis and design of buildings
- Developing projects across the Preliminary Study, Licensing and Execution stages
- Structural modelling in Autodesk Revit
- Preparing and reviewing drawings, construction details, descriptive and justificative reports and calculation documents
- Coordinating the structure with architecture and the other disciplines
- Taking part in BIM coordination processes
- Providing technical support to the design team and following up technical matters during the construction phase
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably in Structures
- Proven professional experience in structural design
- Sound knowledge of the Structural Eurocodes and respective National Annexes
- Experience in seismic design
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit applied to structural modelling
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Autonomy, technical rigour and a sense of responsibility
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Nice to have
Experience in a BIM environment, multidisciplinary coordination, execution-design development, and an interest in optimising structural and construction solutions.
