About the role

ORIRI – Engineering & Project Coordination is looking to strengthen its team with a Civil Engineer – Hydraulic Networks Designer & BIM, to join the development of hydraulic installation projects and their modelling in a BIM environment.

We are looking for a professional with an interest and experience in developing building networks for water supply, wastewater drainage and rainwater, able to follow a project from the definition of the technical solutions through to the execution documents and their coordination with architecture, structures and the other disciplines.

The role focuses particularly on residential buildings, contemporary architectural houses and tourism developments, where modelling quality, coordination between disciplines and the detailing of solutions are especially important.

Key responsibilities

  • Conception and development of building networks for water supply, sewage and rainwater drainage
  • Development of external networks associated with the buildings
  • Hydraulic sizing of the different networks and their equipment
  • Developing projects across the Preliminary Study, Licensing and Execution stages
  • BIM modelling of the hydraulic installations in Autodesk Revit
  • Creating and parameterising Revit families for the installations
  • Preparing plans, sections, schemes, construction details and quantity schedules
  • Producing descriptive and justificative reports and other written documents
  • Coordinating the networks with architecture, structures and the other disciplines
  • Identifying and resolving clashes in a BIM environment
  • Taking part in internal BIM coordination and clash-resolution processes
  • Providing technical support to the team across the project stages and, when needed, during construction

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, or technical training compatible with the role
  • Experience developing building hydraulic network projects
  • Knowledge of the applicable regulations and technical standards
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, preferably applied to MEP installations
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Ability to interpret and coordinate architecture and engineering projects
  • Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Technical rigour and attention to detail
  • Autonomy and a sense of responsibility
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have

Knowledge or experience in the following will be valued:

  • BIM methodology and processes
  • MEP modelling in Autodesk Revit
  • Creating parametric families
  • Calculation and sizing tools for hydraulic networks, namely CYPE or equivalent
  • Multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection
  • Execution-design development
  • Preparing measurements and quantity schedules

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who combines technical knowledge with modelling ability, understanding BIM not merely as a drawing tool but as an integral part of project development and coordination.

We value professionals with technical curiosity, rigour, a capacity to learn and the will to take an active part in ORIRI’s growth, contributing to a culture of quality, collaboration and integration between engineering and architecture.
